The customer had someone change their Administrator password and were no longer able to access Chronicall / ACR. However, our Resetting Your Password article wouldn't work since Chronicall / ACR was installed on Linux and therefore unable to login to http://localhost:9080.
Answer
Chronicall / ACR 3.12.3 and above
- Navigate to the base Chronicall / ACR folder
- Usually located in:
- /var/lib/Chronicall
- /var/lib/Avaya Call Reporting
- Usually located in:
- Create a blank recover.temp file in that folder

touch recover.temp

- Try to login again using recover as both the username and password
- The recover.temp file will be automatically deleted on successful login
Chronicall / ACR 3.12.2 and below
- Gain access to the file structure of Linux using WinSCP or similar software
- Download a copy of the correct bin file down at the bottom of this article.
- Copy this file to the Windows server
- Then using WinSCP, transfer this file over to the correct Chronicall / ACR folder

- Restart Chronicall / ACR services so the file is recognized
- Your default Admin bin file should now have reset their username to Administrator and their password to password
