DNIS (Dialed Number Identification Service) -
Definition of DNIS - Dialed Number Identification Service is a service sold by telecommunications companies to corporate clients that will identify the originally dialed telephone number of an inbound call.
How to show DNIS in Cradle to Grave -
- Right-click on the title row across the top of Cradle to Grave
- Where you normally see Call Info, Duration, Calling Party, etc
- You will see a box appear where you can select hidden fields
- Place a checkmark next to DNIS
- You will now see DNIS information in your C2G queries
How to Query C2G based on DNIS (Dialed Party Number)
- Select C2G by going to Reports > Cradle to Grave
- You will see a list of applicable parameters, select the date range you want to query
- Next, click the ellipsis (...) for the Dialed Party Number criteria
- We recommend changing it to "Include ANY", instead of "Include ALL"
- That way, if needed, you can query for multiple DNIS's (Dialed Party Numbers) at once

- Next, click "Add" and add the DNIS you would like to query against the date range you have selected
- Be sure to change the drop-down box from "Equals" to "Contains"
- This will help find the number whether it has proper formatting or not

- Input the number you wish to query
- Hit OK, and then hit "Execute" on the C2G query
DNIS Based Report - Local Number
- You can create a report based on a local number to report on a specific DNIS if you have the optional Custom Reports Module
- Inside Chronicall, go to Reports > Create Report
- Select "Local Number" for the Row Type
- Follow the normal process for creating a custom report
- When you run this report you can enter in one or more DNIS numbers to report against
- We generally recommend using the "Contains" parameter, in case there are any other numbers that were dialed but this should pull up any related DNIS numbers against your selected parameters for the custom report
