Issue
We have found that the behavior of IP Office accepting calls from anonymous sources can be problematic. We have confirmed multiple sites that will drop the call post multimedia transfer if the source of the original caller is anonymous.
When the SIP message is sent, it's coming from a source of sip:anonymous@anonymous.invalid
This is currently something that needs to be addressed by Avaya but there is a server-side solution the customer can implement.
Steps
NOTE: Xima Software will not be able to do this modification for you, as the changes are to the server itself and not to our Chronicall/ACR services.
- Get connected to the Multimedia server
- NOTE: You can find the IP address of the Multimedia server by
- Opening Chronicall/ACR and navigating to Admin (System) > System Settings > Multimedia Voice Seat
- "Primary Server IP" is the IP address of the Multimedia server

to be replaced with the IP Office address as the source- E.g. of how this was accomplished on the MM Server lab (10.0.1.30 is the IPO):
- NOTE: If you have a

in front of theanonymous.invalid
line it will treat it as a comment and will not run properly
