By default, there is a limited amount of space we use to keep logging in place. In some cases, it may be required to extend logging volume due to the severity of issues or logging rollover. Below are the steps to increase the size of logs we retain:
- NOTE: Our software is hard-coded to retain PBX data for 7 days. If an issue in logging occurs (where it looks like we failed to report things correctly), contact our support team within 7 days. If you cannot reach out sooner, please create a support ticket and aggregate logs to grab the raw data per Log Aggregator Tool.
Steps
- Navigate to Admin (System) > System Settings,
- Open the hidden Advanced Settings
- Modify the "Session Log Retention Size (MB)" and the "Total Log Retention Size (MB)"
- With the modifications in the example below, Chronicall will keep 100MB of the tomcat logs for every restart (or session), and keep a total of 500MB of tomcat logs
- I.e. It will have 5 groups of logs for the last 5 server starts, with each group being around 100MB each

NOTE: Please make sure that increasing this size will not interfere with the available storage on the machine and cause any issues.
