If you find this error code in either the SIP Extension status (Multimedia Configuration ► SIP Extensions) or in the Monitor trace logs, IP Office is not accepting the password being used by the virtual handset(s) configured.
It may be best to change the password so that you know it is uniform throughout IPO and Chronicall / ACR.
The passwords that need to match are the Supervisor Setting passwords and the Extension password for the multimedia user handset and the Multimedia configuration in the software.
*Make sure the password used meets the security complexity requirements. If it does not, the handset will not register and the MM IP Address will be blacklisted.
IP Office Manager ► Users ► <MM Handset> ►Telephony ► Supervisor Settings
IP Office Manager ► Extensions ► <MM Handset> ►Extn
Chronicall/ACR ► Admin ► System Settings ► Multimedia Voice / Contact Center ► SIP Extensions
After the password has been recreated and all settings have been saved (and the IP Office Manager configuration changes has been merged), you will need to restart Multimedia services to trigger a new registration request with the updated credentials.
*NOTE: If the handset was using the wrong credentials previously, it is likely the extension has been quarantined or blacklisted in IPO. The IPO engineer should know to release the extension again prior to a new registration request. In System Monitor, these lists can be found in Status ► Quarantined / Blacklisted Extensions.
403 Error from the incorrect port
By default, we are requesting registration through port 5060. If the port for TCP port for SIP Registrar has been modified in IP Office, we need to change our port settings in the software to match.
