I accidentally put in the wrong Chronicall Server IP address when installing the new 4.0 apps. How do I change which IP address they point to?
Answer
Each application uses a different file to reference for the Chronicall Server IP address. You will find the steps to each below:
Recording Library
- Navigate to the app folder for Recording Library
- Usually located-
- C:\Program Files\Chronicall\recording library\bin\app
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Chronicall\recording library\bin\app
- Usually located-
- Right-click on the ChronicallRecordingLibraryw.exe file
- Select the Run as Administrator option
- Navigate to the Java tab and look under the Java Options section for the line that starts -Ddocumentbase=
- Change the IP address listed to the correct IP for the Chronicall Server
- Restart the Recording Library service
Multimedia
- Navigate to the app folder for Multimedia
- Usually located-
- C:\Program Files\Chronicall\multimedia\bin\app
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Chronicall\multimedia\bin\app
- Usually located-
- Right-click on the ChronicallMultimediaw.exe file
- Select the Run as Administrator option
- Navigate to the Java tab and look under the Java Options section for the line that starts -Ddocumentbase=
- Change the IP address listed to the correct IP for the Chronicall Server
- Restart the Multimedia service
Chronicall Desktop & Agent Dashboard
- Navigate to the app folder for Chronicall
- Usually located-
- C:\Program Files\Chronicall\bin\app
- C:\Program Files(x86)\Chronicall\bin\app
- Usually located-
- For Chronicall Desktop
- Right-click on the ChronicallBrowserless.cfg file and open it with a word editor (e.g. Notepad)
- For Chronicall Agent Dashboard
- Right-click on the ChronicallDesktop.cfg file and open it with a word editor (e.g. Notepad)
- Edit the -Ddocumentbase= line to reflect the correct Chronicall Server IP address
- Save the config file with the same name
- Relaunch the application
- Right-click on the ChronicallDesktop.cfg file and open it with a word editor (e.g. Notepad)
