On Chronicall 3.10 and newer, you can use the application installer to install a Realtime Node on another server. This article covers the basics of the Realtime Node.
Answer
The Realtime Node is relevant for sites with a large number of Realtime users, and will not be applicable to most sites. Additional Realtime Nodes can increase the performance of your realtime wallboards by devoting more resources from another server to processing all your Realtime data.
There is already a built-in Realtime Node on the Chronicall server.
As of Chronicall 3.10 and newer, we have a packaged apps installer. You can refer to this installation guide and replace any instances of Datagrid Node with the Realtime node for installing the Realtime Node on another server.
Related apps (RecLibrary, Datagrid Node, Multimedia, and Realtime Node) are now bootstrapped and automatically update when you update your Chronicall server after Chronicall version 3.10.2.
