Overview
Xima Software has identified an issue related to the recent Google Chrome update to Chromium version 152. This update introduced a bug that prevents short audio files from looping correctly. As a result, WebRTC in Xima CCaaS is affected, causing calls to ring to agents only 1 or 2 times before stopping.
This issue originates from Google's Chromium platform and is outside of Xima Software's control. It is currently affecting WebRTC-based services across many providers, not just Xima CCaaS.
Current Status
Google is aware of this issue and is actively working on a resolution. At this time, Xima Software does not have an estimated timeframe for when a fix will be released.
Who Is Affected
This issue affects any browser built on the Chromium platform that has been updated to version 152, including Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers.
Recommended Workaround
Until this issue is resolved, Xima recommends that customers use one of the following alternatives:
- Switch to the Xima Desktop App
- Use a non-Chromium browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Safari
Next Steps
This article will be updated as soon as Xima Software receives further information regarding a fix from Google.
