I have a big Avaya CM site that is asking if they can do 7 characters on the CDR config settings for their VDN's. They noted that it only spells out 5 characters in the documentation. For example, they have over 10,000 users hence why they have 7 character VDN's. Can XIMA Chronicall account for this?
Yes! See below:
Warning: Normally you can't change the order or lengths of the cdr fields in the CDR format (you can reference the CDR format below). If you set the vdn length to 7 then Chronicall would only use the first 5 digits. All of the fields after vdn would also now be shifted over by 2 characters. So if Chronicall tried to get the ucid of the call for example it would read in the last digit of the seq-num field, then a space, then the first 18 digits of the ucid and the data wouldn't make sense which would result in errors and possibly complete failure.
